We are gearing up for another great year of Afterschool Adventures at Bethesda! We are going to have a BLAST (Bible Learning And Singing Together) in Club and Choir! We will meet on Wednesdays, starting August 21st. After-school bus pick up is available from some local schools (CES, PTH, CMS) depending on sufficient interest and available spots. For us to be able to pick up your child from school, you must turn in your registration form to Bethesda and inform the school that your child will ride the Bethesda bus on Wednesdays. Likewise, please call the church office if your child will not ride the bus on a particular Wednesday. This communication will help prevent delays and confusion in the school bus line.
Elementary (5K-5th): after school – 5:30 PM for snacks, recreation, Club, & Choir.
Youth (6th-12th): after school- 5:30 PM for snacks, recreation, Club, & Mission service.
Preschoolers (3K-4K): 4:00-5:30 PM for Club with fun interactive lessons just for their age.
Preschool (3K-4K year olds): Club . . .
Preschoolers have their very own club meeting from 4:00-5:30 PM on most Wednesdays during the school year. They will make friends and learn about the Best Friend, Jesus! Many people describe it as like a mini-VBS but during the school year.
Elementary (5K-5th): Club and Choir. . .
Elementary children will experience both club and choir. In club, they will learn about and celebrate God’s great love for them. Like VBS, they will meet Bible Memory Buddies and learn important Bible Points and Stories. In choir, they will learn vocal and music skills using songs and hymns based on scripture. They gain a greater understanding of God's word and their own ability to contribute to the life and worship of the church. The choirs sing in church on some Sundays throughout the school year and participate in a musical production each semester.
Youth (6th-12th) grade: Club and Missions. . .
Youth (6th-12th) enjoy afterschool recreation, Bible Study, and service projects. Each week this Christ-centered program helps boys and girls build healthy relationships with adults, peers and, most importantly, Christ. Our youth can put feet to their faith in our service opportunities. We will visit shut-ins and nursing homes; deliver appreciation goodies; stock community blessing boxes; serve at events like Fall Festival and more.
No program fees, but donations are welcome and appreciated. Please return the registration form to the Bethesda church office prior to August 19th. 803-432-4593.
